Still too worn out, and now in shock, Relay cannot react in time to avoid the Possessor’s reach. He plants his hands onto her chest. She gasps as a chill travels down her spine, watching helplessly as his body returns to a black mist that now drapes across her body. With skin now a shade
His point is moot, for Relay is already dragging Magmamite out of the breached bus by his boots. After some 10 feet, she stops to catch her breath, and waves over to them.
Relay heads to the bus, while Night Terror makes his way to Nobody’s side. He helps Nobody get to both feet, while his stretched-out half-wooden knuckles droop onto the pavement.
Neither notice that Wayfarer is back on (unsteady) feet, readying to unleash a wave of time-distorting power. However, Wayfarer also does not notice Nobody, up on one knee, stretching his good arm across the street. Snatching a detached car door, Nobody sideswipes Wayfarer with it, sending him back to the pavement. The effort unbalances Nobody
Night Terror manages to find the ground with a bit of grace. He is almost back to his feet when Relay, weak from her efforts, reaches him. She shows no concern for herself or Night Terror though, too focused on the fact that nothing is moving from within the bus.
