Suddenly, Kartinhaus slams a fist against the table hard enough to rattle the water glasses and Bernadette’s laptop.
Bernadette appears to watch Kartinhaus put on his show (that is occasionally interrupted by a matter-of-fact retort from Philip). In reality, the majority of her attention is drawn to the laptop on the table in front of her. It streams New York’s local WNSG news, where the muted weatherman excitedly points to images of four
Kartinhaus pushes his sleeves tight against his thick forearms, while continuing to bellow out grievance after grievance – his fists pressed down hard enough against the table to turn his knuckles red.
Yusuf (in an expensive black suit) stands with his back to the conference room wall, as he stares stoically down an empty hallway. He appears blissfully ignorant of the heated activity occurring with the room behind him.
Visible on the other side of the glass wall, in the hallway, off to the left of Kartinhaus’s thick body, is Yusuf.
Kartinhaus (sweating through a dark button-down shirt) is standing nearest the closed glass doors that lead out into the hallway. He looks neither patient nor casual, glaring across the table at Philip.
Bernadette (her business jacket draped over a nearby chair) sits casually a few seats further down from Philip, near the 60-inch TV monitor mounted onto the wall.
Philip (in a pressed three piece suit) sits patiently at the far center of the table – an unamused expression across his face.
