Immediately repulsed by its odor, Terry cranks his nostrils away. Keeping it at arm’s length, he slices it open with one of his razor-sharp fingernails. He shakes it, and a single folded piece of paper slides out.

He unfolds and examines a black and white copy of a newspaper clipping. Ignoring the text, he focuses on the photo – the July 4th Central Park battle between Gemini and the foursome that would become the Fearless. In red ink, one of the Fearless – Nobody – is circled, with words – ‘Vengeance – 800 Rockway Ave – Midnight’ written below.

Terry chuckles, then slides the paper back inside the envelop. His posture relaxes, and his beastly features fade as quickly as they appeared.
